Warning Toxic Silt in Lake: (from the PDF document below)" The sediment impacts amounted to an average of 0.09 feet of accumulated material extending out to the 150 foot transect. We conservatively quantified sediment impact accumulations to account for ±45.92 cubic yards of material having been deposited within Vaughn Lake."
As you will see reading the PDF document that the developer was REQUIRED to measure the silt during construction and remove it afterwards. There is a publically available letter from the owner that convinced the county commissioners to vote to allow the toxic silt to remain in the lake.
EPA standards recommend removal of toxic silt before it takes hold of all life in the lake. The lake is already looking stressed and wildlife has dimished.
